Mar 27, 2025

ROWAN COUNTY — Rowan County Public Health (RCPH) is proud to join communities nationwide in celebrating National Public Health Week (NPHW) from April 7-13, 2025. This annual observance highlights the vital role of public health in improving the well-being of our community and promotes collaboration to address health challenges.

Under the theme “It Starts Here,” RCPH will host various events throughout the week, focusing on key public health priorities such as healthy lifestyles, substance use and prevention, and mental health. The activities are designed to engage residents, promote healthy communities, and increase awareness of critical health issues. In Spencer, they will host “Kick Butts Day,” a cigarette and tobacco litter clean up, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. They will meet at the Town of Spencer Town Hall (460 S Salisbury Ave, Spencer, NC 28159).
