Town budget process begins with community feedback at Annual Strategic Planning Session
The Town will host a community feedback session on March 6 around 6:20 p.m. after completing the agenda review portion of the regularly scheduled 5:30 p.m. March Pre-Agenda Meeting in the Hilda B. Palmer Board Room at Town Hall. The goal is to reflect on the past year to see which priorities selected during the 2024 community engagement session need to be changed, added, or removed. This community feedback session will be the best time for Spencer residents to voice what they want to see prioritized in the coming year.
The meeting will recess until 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7. When the meeting reconvenes, the Town will explore the community feedback received the night before. Staff will provide a variety of presentations to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen and engage the Board in discussion that helps prioritize and plan future goals and projects. The feedback will provide a basis for the Town Manager’s FY26 budget recommendation in May.
As always, the Pre-Agenda Meeting and both parts of the Planning Session are open to the public and will be live-streamed and archived on the Town’s YouTube channel.
